Renowned for being hugely diverse and alternative, Brighton is not short of things to see and do on your date.

For a relaxing date, head to The Lanes where you will find a surplus of quirky shops to browse and a number of quaint tearooms and coffee shops.

Brighton Marina boasts a cinema, bowling alley, mini golf course, boat trips and an abundance of pubs restaurants to choose from so you won't be bored if this is where you're headed.

For something a little livelier, you could check out Brighton Pier, which after being built in 1899 has developed into a fantastic place to eat and drink as well as having a huge selection of rides and arcade games to enjoy.

If you'd rather something more cultural then there's the Royal Pavilion to visit which is full to the brim of historical pieces, or Brighton Museum & Art Gallery offering a surplus of things to see.

Alternatively there are always shows and performances on at The Brighton Centre, Brighton Dome or for a great night of comedy head to Komedia and sit in the front row if you're brave enough!

Brighton's Sealife Centre is the oldest operating aquarium in the UK, displaying a variety of sea creatures as well as the original Victorian architecture.

Towering over the Brighton skyline is the British Airways i360 - a 450ft moving observation tower - head up here with your date for breath-taking views of the city.

Just outside the city is South Downs National Park where you could take a lovely walk in the countryside, have a bite to eat at the Devil's Dyke Pub, or stop for a picnic and take in the fantastic views across Sussex.
